Congratulations to Chemical Engineering Graduate Student Cheul Cho who recently accepted a job offer from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He will begin this fall as an Assistant Professor in the Biomedical Engineering Department.

Congratulations to Jie Xiao

Chemical Engineering graduate student Jie Xiao was awarded the 2006 AIChe Process Development Division Student Paper Award. Dr. John Peragine, chair of AIChe Process Development Division, made the presentation on November 14, 2006, at the division dinner at the San Francisco Annual Meeting.

Welcome Dr. Bhanu Jena to our Department

We are very pleased to welcome Dr. Bhanu Jena as an Adjunct Professor of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science, effective January 2007.  Professor Jenna is world-renowned for his research in nanobioscience, cellular biology, and cell secretion mechanisms.  He is currently collaborating with CHE/MSE faculty members on several projects in nanobioscience.  Professor Jena is the George E. Palade University Professsor at Wayne State, Distinguished Professor of Physiology in the WSU School of Medicine, and Director of the WSU NanoBioScience Institute.
